Here we are in the big city: London, the British capital. We did not have much time to visit the city so we headed straight for a symbol of the city: the Tower Bridge, a drawbridge built in 1894 located on the Thames. On our way towards the Tate Modern we immediately noticed the lightness of the Millennium Bridge, designed by Arup, Foster and Partners and Anthony Caro. Arrived at the Tate Modern, a former power station re opened as art gallery in 2000, we visited the exhibition of Joan Miro, the main exponent of surrealism.
The next destination was Buxton, a town with 25 thousand inhabitants situated in the county of Derbyshire. We visited the park and its small town centre. Buxton was the starting point for us to visit the huge national park of the Peak District. So our next stop was Edale...
Arrived in Edale, not a city, not a country but a very small village consisting of 316 inhabitants, we found it difficult to enter the park due to inappropriate clothing, we still managed to see beautiful landscapes but everything from a distance.
Whilst waiting for the train to Sheffield we enjoyed a tasty hot dish...
